Kuveikis Family

Tara and I met in nursing school, what seems like a lifetime ago! We've shared a lot of life's special moments together and along with that lots of tears and joy. We both knew from the beginning we wanted to be labor nurses. There is something so priceless about the opportunity to bring life into the world, and help other women doing it. Labor nurses are special. We share a bond I don't think any other group of nurses share. We can stare at 12 different kinds of body fluid spread across the floor while shoving a cookie in our mouth at the exact same time without batting an eye. We have our own language, and labor nurse humor is one of a kind. Tara and I graduated together, began our first job as labor nurses together, shared being pregnant together in 2015, and we took a new opportunity together last year at a new hospital. I am so thankful for her friendship. We've been by each other's sides in some really challenging times. I was thankful for the opportunity to capture her beautiful family this year. Downtown Belmont, NC was the perfect location for this time of year!
