This little guy is something special. Amy and I have been friends since sophomore year in high school. We were 15 when we met, and have been friends longer than we haven't. College, football games, moves from city to city in NC, lots of girls nights, hundreds of bottles of wine, weddings, vacations, kids and countless priceless conversations later... she is still by my side. Life has definitely come between the time we get to spend together, but the memories we share forever, and I wasn't going to miss a chance to photograph her 3rd perfect little babe, Miller David.
Miller is a little warrior. What appeared to be a smooth and picture perfect birth experience, quickly became a fight for his life just 2 days after he was born. Miller was diagnosed with an Arginine deficiency. He is missing an amino acid in his liver that aids in digesting protein. He gave us all quite a scare, but at just 2 days old, he fought his way through and is now one of the happiest babies I know! Little did we know, in all the blur of days and weeks that followed in the hospital, these photos would be even more precious memories of his first 2 days of life. Miller will have to manage his rare disease his whole life, but God has big plans for this little guy, and I can't wait to see what he does!
